David Byrne-Bellinger

My name is David Byrne-Bellinger.

I have lived in Hermitage for 34 years, although I also have a house in the North Laine of Brighton.

As an Electronics Engineer, I designed and built the unique Group Hearing Aid equipment that has been in use at Mary Hare School since 1994. I was employed by that School for 32 years, and am a qualified Educational Audiologist.

Now retired, I look back at over 35 years of flying in our hot a hot air balloon locally, just for fun, and still assist at the major UK ballooning events.

Having built a working full size Dalek (called Spot), my latest long-term project is the design and construction of a 77,000 cu ft hot air balloon. I enjoy woodwork, metalwork and anything ‘practical’.

I hope, by joining the Village Hall Committee, to be able to ‘give something back’ to the local community, and currently enjoy liaising with a very friendly group of like-minded individuals. 😊

The Village Hall located in Hermitage, West Berkshire, UK is available for hire with reduced rate for Hermitage residents.
